Barbecued Chicken recipe

Barbecue chicken, a delicious dish enjoyed worldwide, is prepared by grilling or smoking chicken parts or the entire bird. This succulent delicacy can be seasoned with a spice rub, slathered with barbecue sauce, or even both. In addition, marinades are often employed to both tenderize the meat and infuse it with delightful flavors. Noteworthy to mention is the rising popularity of rotisserie chicken in U.S. grocery markets. Undoubtedly, barbecued chicken stands as one of the most beloved barbecue dishes across the globe.

Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless

1/4 cup ketchup

3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon horseradish paste

2 teaspoons brown sugar, packed

1 clove garlic, minced

1/8 teaspoon thyme

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

To make barbecued chicken, start by preheating the broiler. Next, combine ketchup, vinegar, horseradish, brown sugar, garlic, and thyme in a saucepan. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. After that, bring the mixture to a boil over medium-low heat. Cook it for approximately 5 minutes or until it thickens. Once it reaches the desired consistency, remove it from the heat and add the pepper.
Now, it’s time to prepare the chicken. Begin by brushing both sides of the chicken with the sauce. Start by brushing one side, then place it in the baking dish with the sauce side facedown. After that, brush the other side of the chicken.
Moving on to the cooking process, broil the chicken for about 7 minutes per side while basting it with the remaining sauce. Finally, let the chicken stand for 5 minutes before serving. Now, you can enjoy your delicious barbecued chicken!
